About
This game is inspired by a real-life tabby cat named Mikan. She was the studio founder's best friend and confident. Unfortunately, Mikan passed away from cancer and our founder wanted to make a game to keep her alive in digital form.
Play as Mikan, a cat running a small shelter for strays.
Care for each cat, build trust over time, and help them find a home. Every day is limited, and every decision matters. You won't be able to do everything, so choosing what to prioritize becomes part of the experience.
Not every adoption will go as planned.
Progress unfolds over multiple days, encouraging a relaxed pace.
Balance cat care, exploration, and shelter responsibilities
Feed, groom, and play with each cat once per day
Build bonding/trust over time through consistent care
Different items affect how quickly cats bond with you
Find Stray cats throughout the town and bring them to your shelter
Poor performance over time can impact your finances and reputation
Help each cat find the right home when the time feels right
Visit locations like the cemetery, Meowket, and town hall
Find items, encounter stray cats, and uncover small stories
Interact with townspeople who may return as adopters
Neko House is a quiet management game about care, routine, and small decisions. There's no rush, but you won't be able to do everything in a day.
