New North American Games Industry Summit, NAGIS, Announces Speakers and Guests For June Event

The North American Games Industry Summit establishes a new business-focused game conference in Edmonton, running alongside Game Con Canada at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Its programming brings developers, publishers, investors and other industry professionals together for talks, meetings and partnership opportunities, adding a business-development component to Edmonton’s growing consumer gaming event. Alberta’s industry is represented throughout the speaker lineup. A BioWare reunion brings Casey Hudson, Trent Oster, Greg Zeschuk and Mark Darrah together with moderator Mark Meer, while other Alberta participants include Edmonton Screen CEO Luke Azevedo, Calgary Game Developers Association director Luke Simms and Edmonton-based developers and writers. International guests including Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell and former IGDA executive director Kate Edwards broaden the event’s connections beyond the province. NAGIS gives Alberta developers local access to industry networking and expertise that would otherwise often require travel to major conferences elsewhere.
